“Blocked by Objects”

Inspired by by the look of cyanotypes and photograms I wanted to explore a new way of recreating the aesthetic look of these processes but also to apply them to my own contemporary aesthetic. All of these photos was shot looking down at a light table and experimented with different physical objects that created interesting shadows that highlighted their overall shapes and forms. I have always been interested in the idea that photography is inspired by paintings and because of this I view my work to be inspired by modern geometric designs and organic abstract styles.
